Public Cloud

Scalable Infrastructure Based on Your Needs

In a public cloud, cloud resources like storage, hardware and applications are being shared between different organizations. Public cloud is typically used to provide online office applications, storage and web-based email, likewise it can be perfect for smaller businesses or organizations that are just looking into the prospect of cloud computing.

HOW DOES THE PUBLIC CLOUD WORKS?

The public cloud allows users to share resources while maintaining the privacy of each user’s data. Public cloud is typically designed with built-in redundancies to prevent data loss. A service provider may store replicated files across several data centers to ensure that disaster recovery is smooth and fast.

  • Infrastructure as a Service
Form of cloud computing that provides virtualized computing resources over the internet. Its provide high-level APIs used to dereference various low-level details of underlying network infrastructure like physical computing resources, location, data partitioning, scaling, security, backup etc. A hypervisor, such as Xen, Oracle VirtualBox, Oracle VM, KVM, VMware ESX/ESXi, or Hyper-V runs the virtual machines as guests. Pools of hypervisors within the cloud operational system can support large numbers of virtual machines and the ability to scale services up and down according to customers’ varying requirements.
  • Platform as a Service
Also known as Platform-based service is a category of cloud computing services that allows customers to provision, instantiate, run, and manage a modular bundle comprising a computing platform and one or more applications, without the complexity of building and maintaining the infrastructure typically associated with developing and launching the application(s); and to allow developers to create, develop, and package such software bundles.
  • Software as a Service
It is sometimes referred to as “on-demand software”, and was formerly referred to as “software plus services” by Microsoft. SaaS applications are also known as on-demand software and Web-based/Web-hosted software.

BENEFITS OF PUBLIC CLOUD

Cost Effectiveness

With public cloud, the physical hardware is shared by multiple companies as such the costs are being split. This helps companies to free the business from any excess costs.

Improved Accessibility

With public cloud, the data is automatically mirrored on data centre which allow companies to access the cloud server anytime, anywhere wherever needed.

High Scalability

Public cloud ensures that the infrastructure is always optimally used. Since cloud resources are always on-demand, the public cloud takes care of the workload by optimizing the hardware needs of its data centre.

Improved Agility

With public cloud, businesses will be more efficient and make quicker decisions including rapid rollouts of new business initiatives, data gathering and analysis ability.
